Our story begins with a passion for cultivating dreams amid verdant splendor and thus began the transformation of the former glass greenhouse into an event venue. The old weathered beams, whitewashed ceiling, a 200 crystal chandelier, back deck, and old wooden French doors covered in firefly lights make for stunning photo backdrops and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for any special event you can imagine. Here, every piece of china tells a tale, and every artistic stroke whispers secrets of renewal. We are centrally located on a 20 acre farm in Birchwood, Tennessee. Only 30 miles from Chattanooga, 20 miles from Cleveland and 20 miles from Dayton, we’re close enough by to host a special event and be back in your own bed by dinner. Meet The Owners
The Greenhouse in Birchwood is a family-owned and operated event space nestled in the majestic Tennessee Valley area. The owners, John and Cindy, have been in the hospitality field for their entire 38 years of marriage. Their former home was a wedding venue for their family and friends. Cindy has experience as a professional Wedding photographer and caterer for large events. Cindy has hosted dinners and teas in her home for many years. She has collected vintage tableware, tablecloths, and decor for an additional service here at the Greenhouse. They have poured so much love as they are remodeling this space together, you can feel it when you enter the doors. They live in a log cabin on the lake, love boating, traveling and hosting people. When not running the business, John and Cindy are most likely to be found with their children, grandchildren, neighbors or friends. Together with their daughter, Katie, they manage all aspects of day-to-day operations (from construction to catering!) and host guests from all over the country at their special slice of heaven - The Greenhouse in Birchwood - for micro-weddings, rehearsal dinners, parties, holiday dinners, high tea parties, baby showers, retreats, and so much more.
